Protect Your Home With Certified Mold Inspection in New Braunfels, TX
For homeowners in New Braunfels, hidden mold can silently threaten your health and damage your home’s structure. You may not see it or smell it, but the effects—chronic coughing, worsening allergies, persistent moisture—are often already present. Unfortunately, most residents don’t discover mold until it’s spread behind walls or inside HVAC systems. That’s when the situation becomes more dangerous and more expensive to fix.
We’ve seen this too many times over our 28 years of service in Texas. And that’s exactly why we bring transparency, education, and accuracy to every inspection we perform. At LoneStar Mold Testing, we use advanced tools and K9 inspections to detect mold growth where others can’t, and we make sure you understand every result before we leave.
Whether you’re near Landa Park, Gruene Historic District, or just moved into a home near the Guadalupe River, we’re here to help you breathe easier and live safer.

Tips to Keep Indoor Air Clean & Healthy
Living in a humid region like New Braunfels means homes are more susceptible to mold, especially near the Comal River or in older structures downtown. But with a little effort, you can help protect your home and your health.
Here are some helpful tips to reduce indoor mold and improve air quality:
- Control indoor humidity: Keep humidity levels below 50% using dehumidifiers, especially in basements or bathrooms.
- Check for leaks often: Inspect under sinks, around windows, and behind appliances for signs of water damage.
- Use ventilation when cooking or showering: Proper airflow prevents condensation and moisture buildup.
- Change HVAC filters regularly: Clogged filters can trap allergens and spread mold spores throughout your home.
Prevention starts with awareness—and a trusted team by your side. At LoneStar Mold Testing, we’re proud to bring 28 years of mold inspection and air quality testing to New Braunfels, TX. Whether you’re concerned about a musty smell or want a full mold assessment before listing your home, call us today at (713) 875-2889 to schedule a residential mold inspection you can trust.
What Our Clients Are Saying
- Test for Toxic Materials & Mold It gave me peace of mind after we had some water damage from a storm and there was a delay in getting my new roof. Gratefully the air quality was very good. The technician even offered to change my air filter on my HVAC. How kind! - I'm so glad I contacted Lance at LoneStar Mold Testing. Like so many people, This was the first time I've had to look for and subsequently hire someone to test for mold. In the process of refinancing my house, the appraiser for the mortgage company thought that there might be mold in the walls. I tried explaining that what they were seeing was a discoloration where my wife had tried to remove old wallpaper as she had gouged the sheetrock that left a rough patch that DID look awful... but, "it wasn't mold," I explained. The mortgage company had already made up its "mind" and wanted a mold test done.
I contacted 3 companies as is standard practice when looking for bids. Lance of LoneStar called me almost immediately after I'd posted a request for bids on HomeAdvisor. The other two waited until the next day to call or respond. Lance's message seemed sincere and that he'd answer any questions I might have. While the other two encouraged me to call them back for a bid, Lance's message was more reassuring. In the end, I chose LoneStar.
Lance DID answer my questions. all of them. I had several and he patiently answered them. He told me exactly what he was going to do as required by standard practices and well as the law. (As he said, "It's nothing personal. It's because I have my license on the line.") We set up a time for the inspection.
He was on time and professional - and friendly. I ushered him in and we engaged in a little small talk. I showed him the spot on the wall that drew the attention of the appraiser. He just shook his head and with a small smile of self-assurance said, "This'll only take a few minutes."
Indeed it took only a few minutes to get his samples.
The cost was reasonable and, like many self-employed pros, he preferred cash and gave me a small discount because he didn't have to pay the credit card fee.
Our appointment was about noon so I presumed that I'd get the results in a day or two because it was already getting late in the day and he'd told me that he had another one or two appointments later in the day. I was happily surprised that I received the results by about 7 o'clock that evening! I was able to file the pdf report with the mortgage company that same day which allowed me to close a day earlier!
If I need a mold inspector again, I'll call LoneStar Mold Testing with Lance. As he left my house he commented, "I hope I don't have to see you again . . . not because I don't like you or wouldn't want to come back over. I just hope you don't have a mold issue to deal with."read moreread lessTest for Toxic Materials & Mold I'm so glad I contacted Lance at LoneStar Mold Testing.
